Brief Description

The National Plan for the Prevention and Eradication of Domestic Violence and Violence against Women (2004-2014) is formulated as a national strategy for the implementation of the National Policy for the Advancement and Development of Guatemalan Women and the Equal Opportunity Plan 2001-2006 in the area of domestic violence and violence against women. It comprises four strategic areas: (1) institution-building of the State and CONAPREVI (The National Coordinating Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Violence against Women); (2) statistical analysis and research; (3) comprehensive care; and (4) prevention.
